IF TODAY WAS YOUR LAST DAY
How would you spend your last day on earth?

In the short story "The Last Leaf", Behrman painted the leaf on the vine for Johnsy. I think it was ironic that Behrman died when the last leaf fell, while Johnsy had been saying she would die. Why do you think Johnsy kept saying that?

I think Behrman cared about Johnsy's life more than he's own life. And I think Johnsy kept saying that because she might be in pain and she didn't want to live anymore.

It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up -- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had. ~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
it is a perfect quote and tells us to use our time wisely and not to worry much about life and not to take it serious
